Sharjah Old Cars Club participated in Arabian Travel Market 2026 (ATM), held from 14 to 17 September at the Dubai World Trade Centre, as part of the Sharjah pavilion under the umbrella of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, and in cooperation with the Sharjah Sports Council.

The participation forms part of the Club’s efforts to position the Sharjah Classic Cars Museum as one of the emirate’s distinctive cultural and tourism attractions, while showcasing the Club’s key programmes and activities that document important chapters in automotive history and its evolution over the decades.

Taking part in one of the region’s leading travel and tourism exhibitions provided the Club with an opportunity to engage with an international audience of tourism professionals and enthusiasts and introduce them to the Museum’s unique visitor experience.

The Museum houses a collection of rare vehicles that reflect significant milestones in the history and development of the automotive industry. Through its exhibits, the Museum offers an experience that brings together culture, history and entertainment, allowing visitors to discover the stories behind vintage cars while also highlighting the Club’s year-round programmes and events and their role in preserving automotive heritage and promoting greater awareness of its historical and cultural value.

Saud Ali Al Matrooshi, Board Member of Sharjah Old Cars Club, said the Club’s participation in Arabian Travel Market provides an important platform to strengthen the Museum’s presence on Sharjah’s tourism and cultural map.

He said:

“Through our participation in Arabian Travel Market, we are keen to introduce the Sharjah Classic Cars Museum to an international and specialised audience as a destination that brings together tourism, culture and history. We also seek to establish new partnerships with organisations and institutions operating in the tourism sector, helping us attract a wider range of visitors and introduce them to the Museum experience and the Club’s programmes. Every vehicle housed in the Museum tells a story and reflects a particular chapter in the evolution of societies, the automotive industry and lifestyles.”

Al Matrooshi added that participating in major tourism exhibitions and platforms reflects the Club’s strategy to broaden its reach beyond specialised automotive events, engage new audience segments and showcase the diverse tourism experiences and attractions offered by the Emirate of Sharjah.

He noted that vintage cars form an important part of historical memory, with each vehicle carrying stories that document the evolution of societies, technologies and lifestyles across different eras.

Throughout the year, Sharjah Old Cars Club delivers a diverse programme of events, gatherings and specialised activities that bring together owners, enthusiasts and those interested in the history of vintage cars from across the UAE and abroad. The Club also attracts participants and visitors from around the world, creating opportunities to exchange expertise and knowledge while preserving this automotive heritage and passing it on to future generations.

These programmes also contribute to strengthening Sharjah’s position as a prominent destination for vintage car enthusiasts and transforming this passion into an integrated cultural and tourism experience that combines history, heritage and community engagement
